“Nothing that’s really yours can be taken away from you, and whatever can be taken away from you was never really yours.” -Michael Neill
In first grade, my name was written on the board almost weekly because I consistently begged Mrs. Yost to teach me how to read. Somehow, even at age 6, I knew that reading would unlock the door to a world I desperately wanted to be part of. Once I knew how to read, I began writing. And quite frankly, I’ve never stopped.
As a journalist specializing in virtually anything you can imagine, my natural curiosity has led me to write about everything from sustainability to Lady Gaga. Give me a topic and I’ll hunt the necessary sources down, ask all the right questions (and then some) and cleverly craft a piece to fit your target audience perfectly.
My writing has also evolved into editing. From serving as the editor of novels, non-fiction books and websites, my love of words shines through as I maintain the author’s voice, while creating work that allows the writer to meet his/her intended objectives. I am a firm believer in co-creation and nowhere is this more true than in the editing process.
All this to say – I know words.
