Good Morning!

It's been a crazy week. I had an article printed in the Daily Journal of Commerce just click on "Design Special Section" and then "The Future's So Bright" to read my piece. Also, if you haven't checked, my dairy-free smoothie recipe appeared on Wired Berries.

I've also started writing a blog for Women OUT LOUD a new blog/webcast hosted by OregonLive.com. Check it out here. The editor at OregonLive.com is something else. He was babbling on and on to me the other day about how to write a blog (hello, I'm a writer?!) and I said to him, "I'm not a moron." To which he replied, "Oh yeah, where did you go to school?"

Can you believe this guy?
Where did I go to school??? As if that matters or is an indicator of whether or not I'm a moron? Besides being completely disgusted with this man, I realized that 'schoolism' is just another form of prejudice that shows up in our society. It's as if the pecking order is: being judged by color of your skin, your sexual preference, or when all else fails - what university you went too.

This type of "us vs. them" mentality irritates me to no end. It's just another way that humans try to separate themselves from one another.

Needless to say, there is no way to tell how long I'll be writing this blog with that kind of ridiculous attitude wandering around, but I'm there for now. Our webcast is scheduled to hit November 3rd to discuss the November 7 election. If you have not registered to vote, please do so now. Register to vote here!

Also, you'll see a new picture of me with my best friend Jen. We went out dancing this weekend (more on that later). I dyed my hair back to my natural color (sort of). It's pretty dark. Let me know what you think. :)
