Great New Snack - Mary's Gone Crackers!

On a recent jaunt to QFC (of all places - they actually have a great little wheat-free section), I discovered Mary's Gone Crackers, crackers. Okay, super cheesy name, but super yummy crackers. Right now, I'm dipping them in soy nut butter or topping them with Tofutti cream cheese and a dollop of salsa. YUM!

It's the perfect mid-day snack between lunch and dinner. When you're hungry, but not famished. Pair with carrot sticks/celery to up the nutritional quotient.

The original cracks are made with organic brown rice, quinoa, flax seeds and sesame seeds. Try them out - they're delish!

What I'm Eating Now...

As the healing cycle continues, I find myself drawn to chicken & wild rice soup with toast. Not very exciting, but it's what I'm loving right now.

Ezekial Bread (try Low Sodium - just got it and you cannot tell a bit of difference)
1T Smart Balance Light butter

Dip in your fave soup!

Brown Rice Chocolate Chip Cookies

I had surgery last week, so I was doing anything but cooking (sleeping, sleeping, and more sleeping!) - but luckily, I have very lovely friends who made fantastic brown rice chocolate chip cookies for me. Libby - you rock the house!

Get the fabulous recipe from the Food Network: The Chewy Gluten Free.

I also found two other GF items on the Food Network site here.

Enjoy!
