Country Music

These days
The only
Thing
That makes
Me feel
At home
Is
Country music
The twang,
George Strait,
And songs of women and beers
Soothes my soul
Makes me remember
Where I am
From
And who I am.
With no one around
No familiarities to call
My own
I reach
For something,
Some shred of evidence
That I am not alone.
